Terms of Use
Effective date: July 14, 2026
The short version: WITA is a subscription app. Payment goes through your Apple ID, subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you can cancel anytime in your iPhone settings. WITA shows you where your time goes; what you do with that information is up to you.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and GOLDEN GENIUS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 14296748) ("we", "us", "our"), and they govern your use of the WITA app and the wita.life website (together, "the Service"). By downloading or using WITA, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy, available at wita.life/privacy.html, explains how data is handled and forms part of these Terms.
2. What WITA is
WITA is an automatic life tracking app for iPhone. It uses your device's location and motion signals to build a picture of where your time goes, organized into categories, with statistics, trends, goals, and an AI assistant.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use WITA, and you need a compatible iPhone and an Apple ID.
3. Subscriptions
WITA requires a paid subscription after the free trial. The following terms apply:
- Plans and prices: WITA is offered as an auto-renewable subscription at $5.99 per week or $39.99 per year, or the equivalent price in your local currency as shown in the App Store at the time of purchase. Prices may change; any change applies only to renewals after you have been notified through the App Store.
- Free trial: new users receive a 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically and your Apple ID is charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Payment: payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. We never see or store your payment details.
- Automatic renewal: your subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected.
- How to cancel: open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, select WITA, and tap Cancel Subscription. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
- Refunds: purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. Your license to use WITA
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use WITA on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's App Store terms.
You agree not to copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, interfere with its operation or security, or use it for any unlawful purpose, including tracking a person other than yourself without their knowledge and consent. WITA is built to track your own life, not other people.
5. Accuracy of tracking
WITA's tracking is fully automatic and depends on signals from your device: location visits, motion data, and place information. These signals are not perfect. Times, places, and categories may occasionally be missed, delayed, or classified incorrectly, and factors like Low Power Mode, disabled permissions, poor signal, or iOS restrictions can affect results. The App gives you tools to correct its records, and we work constantly on accuracy, but the Service is provided as a helpful picture of your time, not a guaranteed record. You should not rely on it as evidence for legal, employment, billing, or similar purposes.
6. The AI assistant
WITA includes an AI assistant that answers questions about your time. Its responses are generated automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or oddly phrased. They are provided for information and motivation only and are not professional, medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. Decisions you make based on the Service are your own responsibility.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, text, graphics, and the WITA name and logo, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you any right to our trademarks or branding. The data the App records about your own life is yours.
8. Changes to the Service
We may update, change, or discontinue features of the Service at any time, and we may release updates that are required for the App to keep working. We will not remove core functionality you have paid for during an active subscription period without offering a remedy through Apple.
9. Termination
You can stop using WITA at any time by canceling your subscription and deleting the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, including misuse described in section 4. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 5, 6, 7, 10, and 11) survive.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that tracking will be complete or correct.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Apple
WITA is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple is not a party to these Terms, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the App, and is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the App must also comply with the App Store Terms of Service.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify you inside the App. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence give you additional rights or a different forum.
